Nice to sig...

so to update our moonkinery* (SP?) thread..

Leaving illidan has been phenominal. Like the game is so different on a non-lagging server.

Its weird though doing boss encounter w.o lag. Espeically Thaddius. lol.

I was able to break 6K dps on our latest patch, and I have been pumping out some Grade A moonkin dps on all encounters except malygos. F'ing roots & typhooning! But yeah, i'm creeping up on all the scoreboards on wowmeteronline.

Anywho, last couple of patchwerk parse have been full of LAFFs cause someone has been pulling aggro at the begining.

so of course that has been somewhat hurting my DPS due to our total time of killing him is still around 2:30ish.

I'll be suppling the tanks some rage pots this time around, hopefull we can get him down in under 2:15 with everyone up, instead of with 1 dead person.

We're also still rocking 5 healers.

The biggest difference I have noticed, is that crit seems to be more valuable than haste. According the nerd theory crfting and such, haste BARELY beats out haste. thoughts?

Also, Bleez, how did u pull off that damage on anub'rehkan on 1/22?

Probably just got an exceptional eclipse run. What rotation do you use?

Right now I'm just keeping up moonfire, wrath til SF eclipse and spamming SF until the CD comes up again.

Yeah I'm kinda wondering if I'll use moonfire at all after 3.1 hits. From what I can kind of imagine, I'm thinking it'll be something like moonfire opening, starfire for the eclipse (as well as add time to the moonfire dot), insect swarm on proc, wrath for the duration of eclipse, then possible reapply moonfire and starfire to the next one.

In the event this is actually the way to go, which I doubt it will be exactly, moonfire's timer will be extremely happenstance in the rotation, depending on how many 3 second timers you added with starfire before it procced wrath eclipse, blah dee blah and such. The 4pc set bonus from t8 has a fairly long timer on the window for the instant cast starfire, which is cool, cuz you could very well ignore it til the end of the wrath eclipse and then use it if you wanted to. The math on this will have to be figured out though, as to if it's worth ignoring an instant starfire for the eclipse duration in favor of finishing your wrath eclipse and possibly losing other instant starfire procs while the one is up.

I think at current t7.5 gear levels, SF will still be the best spell to buff with eclipse because of all the haste available. I guess you could drop some haste for crit on your gear, but seems like in Ulduar you'd still hit the haste cap with wrath + NG.

actually theres will be a sort of haste cap, that hurts wrath if u get past it.

and its going to be worth casting IS and MF up at all times.

On the PTR my insect swarm was doing almost as much damage as moonfire.

I think it was doing like less than a 100damage difference per tick.

IS ticks 7 times in 14secs, while moonfire ticks 8 times in 25secs.

Looks liek blizz wants to increase our dot damage for movement fights.

From my LIVE parses, my dot damage has been dramatically compared to the nukes damage. Something like 93% SF+Wrath/7%MF+IS.

BUT IS is going to be cast at a much more frequent rate than MF. Even though IS cost much less, its still increase our overall cast.

SO mana regen is going to be a big concern on fights like Sarth 3d 10man.

It would also seem that IS will be worth casting during hero.

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. I'm fairly certain that anyone in Naxx 25/BiS gear currently has already passed that, even with the changes. It's not very much haste at all from what I remember, something like 400 or 12%. :/ Wrath Eclipse will be good for movement fights I suppose, but on a fight with little movement, the spell queuing system, latency, and below 1s wrath casts just seems like a lot of lost dps.
